Overview
The page numbers tool automatically stamps a page number onto every page of a PDF, with full control over where the number sits on the page and which number the count starts from.
How to use it
Add your file
Choose one PDF file to number.
Choose the position
Pick where the page number should appear from the grid: top or bottom, and left, center, or right.
Set the starting number
Type the number the count should start from; zero is allowed if you want to skip a cover page.
Add the numbers
Click the add button to create a fully numbered copy of the file.
Why use this tool?
Official documents, contracts, and long reports often need clear numbering that makes it easy to reference a specific page during review or printing, and this tool adds it automatically without an advanced PDF editor.
100% local processing
Adding page numbers runs through a local Web Worker in your browser, and the file's data is never sent to a server.
Practical use cases
Numbering a multi-page contract
Add clear numbers to the bottom of every page of a long contract, making it easy to reference a specific clause during review.
Numbering a report before printing
Add organized numbering to a formal report before printing or submitting it.
Continuing the numbering of a follow-up file
Start the count from a number other than 1 for a file that continues an earlier, split document.
